ORLEN Neptun is responsible for the development of offshore wind energy in the ORLEN Group. In October 2023, the company obtained the final decision of the Minister of Infrastructure to allocate five new locations for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of approximately 5.2 GW. Four of them are located on the Odra Bank, near Świnoujście, where the company opened its installation port for offshore wind in June of 2025. The fifth location is located on the Słupsk Bank. This area borders the site where the 1,140 MW Baltic Power wind farm is being built by ORLEN Group in cooperation with the Canadian partner Northland Power.
Additionally, ORLEN Neptun is interested in developing offshore wind projects in other countries around the Baltic Sea. The company's plans related to offshore wind energy also concern securing and guaranteeing the timely implementation of new projects. Therefore, in October 2022, the ORLEN Group made a strategic decision to build the first offshore wind terminal in Poland. Świnoujście Offshore Terminal was officially launched in June 2025 and is one of the most modern installation terminals in Europe.
