ORLEN Neptun is responsible for the development of offshore wind energy at the ORLEN Group. In May 2023, the company received top marks from the Ministry of Infrastructure for five concession applications for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of 5.2 GW.
The ORLEN Group's ambition is to ensure that the 'local content', i.e. the share of Polish entrepreneurs in the supply chain in offshore projects, is as high as possible.
The ORLEN Group obtained the final decision of the Minister of Infrastructure to allocate five new locations for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of approximately 5.2 GW.
At the turn of 2024 and 2025, the first installation terminal for offshore wind farms in Poland and one of the most modern installation terminals in Europe will start operating in the port of Świnoujście.
