Janusz Bil
President of the Management Board
From June 2024, President of the Management Board of ORLEN Neptun, the company responsible for the development of offshore wind projects in the ORLEN Group.
A graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science and Automation of the Lodz University of Technology and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz.
From the beginning of his professional career, he has been associated with the energy sector, progressing through all career levels and gaining managerial experience in domestic and international corporations.
In the years 1995-1998 he worked as an engineer at the Łódź-Teren Energy Plant (currently the Łódź Branch of PGE Dystrybucja), and then (1998-2002) in the Tariff Department of the Energy Regulatory Office.
From 2002 to 2004, he worked at Stoen in Warsaw, where he served as Member of the Management Board for Marketing and Trade. Later, after the company was acquired by RWE, he was responsible for the entire regulatory area.
Between 2004 and 2011, he was associated with Vattenfall, initially as Sales Director at Warsaw's heat and power plants, and then as Director for Regulation and Market Development at Vattenfall Poland.
In the years 2012 - 2013, Vice-President of the Management Board for Trade at ENEA SA, at the same time managing the entire work of the ENEA capital group for several months as the acting President of the Management Board.
From 2014 to 2017, he was the Business Development Director at Ramboll Polska, a company belonging to the Danish Rambøll - one of the largest engineering consulting companies with a global reach.
In the period 2017-2024, he was associated with the British Embassy in Warsaw as Director of Energy and Renewable Sources.
Immediately before taking up the position of President of the Management Board of ORLEN Neptun, he led, as Country Manager, a team of consultants at Forte Renewables Polska - a company founded in 2012 in Amsterdam specializing in technical consulting for photovoltaics and onshore and offshore wind energy projects.
Joanna Sasak
Chief Financial Officer, Member of the Management Board
Joanna Sasak is an accomplished finance executive with over 20 years of experience across strategic sectors including energy, fuels, aviation, and telecommunications. She brings 13 years of extensive expertise in the energy industry. During her time at the RWE Group (2003–2012), she held various senior positions, including in investment management, asset management, and energy and gas procurement. From 2020 to 2024, she served as Management Board Member at AXPO Polska, a subsidiary of the Swiss-based AXPO Group, where she oversaw finance, corporate control, tax, treasury, and internal audit functions. Previously, she was Vice President of the Management Board of Orlen Aviation from 2013 to 2018, where she was responsible for the comprehensive financial management of this ORLEN Group subsidiary.
Mrs. Sasak holds an International MBA and multiple degrees in finance, management, psychology, and business leadership, earned at prestigious institutions including St. Gallen Business School in Switzerland, Kraków University of Economics, the University of Warsaw, and Warsaw University of Technology.
Wojciech Matuszek
Member of the Management Board
Experienced energy sector manager with more than 25 years in the area of project development, implementation and operation, as well as acquiring new business opportunities. He began his career in the 1990s in energy companies, moving up the career ladder from a specialist to management and executive positions.
In 1998–2008, he was associated with Elektrownie Szczytowo-Pompowe S.A. (now PGE Energia Odnawialna), where he was responsible for, among other things, the development and implementation of hydropower projects (modernization and new projects), as well as Poland's first wind farm projects. He co-founded and supervised capital projects with a total value of several hundred million zlotys.
Since 2008, he has held managerial positions at General Electric International, the Czech venture capital fund Enern Polska, where he was involved in the development of wind projects (several hundred MW in total), and at Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne and PGE focusing on the construction of connections and preparation of connections (including new RES sources) to the transmission and distribution networks.
From 2020 to 2024, he worked at Spectris Energy Poland, a special purpose vehicle of the Swiss-British fund Golden Peaks Capital Holding, serving successively as Chief Operating Officer, General Managing Director and Vice President of Construction. He was responsible for the development and construction of photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of more than 600 MW (more than 500 projects in Poland).
Prior to joining ORLEN S.A., he served as the Chief Operating Officer at ZPUE S.A, a power sector company specializing in the manufacture and supply of transformer stations and switchgear. He was responsible for overseeing operations, optimizing processes and supporting the development of the company’s strategic projects.
In total, in his career he has been involved in projects related to the construction and operation of power generation sources – hydropower, wind and photovoltaic ones – both completed and commissioned, as well as those in the preparation or investment plan phase.
A graduate of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, he has also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology and business programs at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Luton (now the University of Bedfordshire). Member of the Renewable Energy Association, former Polish Electricity Association (PKEE) representative to Eurelectric (Hydro Working Group). Author of industry publications, awarded the Bronze Medal of Merit of the President of the Republic of Poland (2004) and the Badge of Honor of the Minister of Economy (2008).
